Here is a video showing a project I have been working on for the last few months. It’s a stand alone performance system with a fully controllable 16 steps RBG LED sequencer and 32 light sensitive resistors. All the computing is made with Raspberry Pi 2. The sequencer and sensor reading as well as sound synthesis is programmed in Pure Data. I used a fantastic SD card image called Satellite CCRMA for raspberry PI written by Edgar J Berdahl from Stanford University. I am really impressed with how powerful the Raspberry PI 2 is in terms of computing power.
